Teenage songstress IU has set the location and date for her first showcase in Japan ahead of her official debut, according to EMI Music Japan.
On Wednesday, the official website of EMI showed that IU will be the youngest Korean singer to take the stage of Tokyo's prestigious Bunkamura Orchard Hall on January 24 for her showcase titled "IU JAPAN PREMIUM 'SPECIAL LIVE.'"
IU released her licensed album, featuring six songs such as "Good Day" and "Nagging," and a DVD in Japan today while she will reveal her official Japanese debut single in February.
IU, whose real name is Lee Ji-eun, made her debut with her first mini-album "Lost and Found" in September 2008. She has since produced a number of hit songs such as "Boo," "Marshmallow" and "Nagging" with 2AM member Seulong.
She is currently promoting title track "YOU&I" from her second full-length album "Last Fantasy" which topped all online music websites upon its release.
