Shin Hye-sung to ring in New Year with fans

Korean singer Shin Hye-sung will ring in the New Year with his fans at his end-of-the year concert next month, according to his agency Liveworks Company on Monday.

Liveworks said in a press release that Shin will perform at the main hall of Yonsei University in Seoul for his concert titled "2011~2012 SHINHYESUNG CONCERT 'THE YEAR'S JOURNEY'" for two days starting December 30.

"Even though I held many concerts before, this upcoming show is very meaningful since I will be able to spend the end of 2011 with my fans," Shin was quoted as saying, adding that he will also prepare special events for his concert.

Shin made his debut as one of the main vocalist for popular boy band Shinhwa in 1998 and embarked on a solo singing career in May 2005.

He made his comeback to the music scene with the release of his fourth full-length album "The Road Not Taken" in mid-June, which was also sold to Taiwan, Hong Kong, Japan and China.

Shin kicked off his tour "SHIN HYE SUN 2011 Tour in SEOUL-THE ROAD NOT TAKEN" with his first show in Seoul in June and held concerts in China and Japan.

He is now scheduled to perform in Hong Kong at the Asia-world Expo on November 27.
