T-ara members Eunjung and Qri have held their first script reading for a KBS historical drama, according to their agency Core Contents on Tuesday.

Core Contents explained through a press release today that Eunjung and Qri from the seven-member girl group, held their first script reading session for ongoing drama “The King of Legend” and unveiled photos of the two practicing.

The two were quoted as saying they were nervous about their first shoot but look forward to the results and promised to be good rivals by doing their best individually but helping each other out along the way.

“The King of Legend,” whose story is based on a historical novel by writer Lee Moon-yeol, is a 60-part drama about the life of King Geun Chogo, the 13th ruler of ancient Baekje Kingdom (18 B.C. - A.D. 660) who ruled the mid-region of the Korean Peninsula around the 4th century.

Eunjung will appear as General Gin’s daughter who will marry King Geun Chogo’s son and become the first queen of Baekje and Qri, the king’s daughter princess Yeojin.

The drama has been airing every weekend evening since last November and has about a dozen episodes left to air. The girls will appear on the show starting this Saturday.

Eunjung, whose full name is Ham Eun-jung, made her debut as a child actor in the early 1990s and has displayed her acting skills in various roles including the SBS' TV series "Coffee House" (2010) alongside Kang Ji-hwan and recently in KBS' music drama "Dream High" (2011). She also appeared on the big screen with a role in film "Death Bell" (2008).

For Qri, whose real name is Lee Ji-hyun, this is her second time appearing in a historical drama following MBC drama “Queen Seondeok” (2009) where she appeared as Young-mo, the granddaughter of Lady Mishill.

The two girls debuted as singers through a girl group T-ara composed of other member Hyomin, Boram, Soyeon and Hyo-young in 2009. The group kicked off their career with single “Lie” and “Wanna Play” and continuously produced other hit songs such as "Bo Peep Bo Peep" and "I Go Crazy Because of You."
