Big Bang's new release a mini-album

Korean boy band Big Bang, currently gearing up for their comeback to the local music scene, will release their new record in the form of a mini-album on February 24. A teaser image revealed through their official YG Entertainment blog (//www.yg-life.com) today showed a picture of a skull covered in diamonds wearing headphones with the names of each member with the phrase '2011.02.24 4TH MINI ALBUM RELEASE.'YG had originally announced last month that Big Bang will return for the first time in two years with a full-length album. The group also flew into the United States last week to shoot a music video for their new song. Meanwhile, the boys will make their full-fledged comeback through their annual "2011 BIG SHOW" which will take place at the Gymnastics Stadium of the Olympic Park in Seoul from February 25 to 27. Known as one of the biggest idol groups in the country, Big Bang -- composed of members G-Dragon, T.O.P, Seungri, Daesung and Taeyang -- has topped a number of online and offline music charts with their hit songs such as "Dirty Cash," "Haru Haru" and "Lies." In the summer of 2009, Big Bang successfully crossed over into the Japanese music market where several of their singles placed in the top slots of the prestigious Oricon chart and toured three cities in the country which attracted a total of 60,000 fans.
