From March 13 to 15
At the Field Minari Collection Center in Garye
Uiryeong County in South Gyeongsang Province will host the 5th Uiryeong Garye Field Minari Festival from March 13 to 15, 2026.
The Garye region of Uiryeong is known as a major production area for field minari, thanks to its clean soil, clear water, and large temperature differences between day and night, which give the minari its strong aroma and crisp texture.
This festival has been organized to widely promote field minari, a seasonal spring agricultural product, and to help increase local farmers’ income as well as revitalize the regional economy.
During the festival, visitors can participate in a variety of hands-on programs, such as harvesting fresh field minari and making mushroom spawn, making it an attractive outing for families.
The event will take place at the Field Minari Collection Center in Garye-myeon, Uiryeong County, where a variety of dishes such as field minari with pork belly, field minari bibimbap, and field minari pancakes will be offered. In addition, visitors can purchase fresh field minari on-site at prices lower than in the general market.
Ha Daeyoung, head of the Jagulsan Cheongjeong Field Minari Growers’ Association, said, “We have prepared a festival where you can enjoy field minari that heralds the fragrant arrival of spring,” and added, “I hope everyone will take the opportunity to experience the fresh taste of Uiryeong field minari on a warm spring day.”
