Pilot Implementation at "Kearing Stay" Begins This Month
Kearing announced on March 4 that it has launched the beta version of its AI phone service "AI Mind Care," which is centered on attentive and empathetic conversations.
AI Mind Care is a care program designed to provide seniors with enjoyable conversation experiences through AI. It was developed in response to feedback from Kearing’s care workers, who recognized the need to address care gaps by maintaining continuous communication activities using IT technology, even when seniors are alone.

Drawing on seven years of experience in the care field, Kearing focused on designing the approach and principles for interacting with seniors so that the AI could serve as a conversational companion that listens, acknowledges, and empathizes. The service incorporates principles such as "reminiscence therapy," which helps seniors recognize the meaning in their lives by recalling past experiences, as well as "motivational interviewing," which identifies and acknowledges the strengths of the other person.
Kearing plans to begin pilot implementation of AI Mind Care this month for residents of the senior residence "Kearing Stay." Over the course of the year, the company aims to expand the service to include approximately 2,000 beneficiaries, such as recipients of Kearing’s in-home care services. In addition, the service will be extended as a communication channel available 24 hours a day for seniors who wish to use it, further helping to reduce care gaps.
Kearing CEO Kim Taesung said, "As Korea enters a super-aged society, concerns about care gaps are increasing due to the shortage of care workers. We will continue to actively introduce innovative technologies such as AI, robotics, and data into the workplace and shape the future of care."
