This agreement aims to establish a foundation for cooperation to systematically support local small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in technology transfer and commercialization, as well as to help startups enter global markets, by linking the networks and expertise of both organizations.
Under the agreement, the two organizations plan to pursue various collaborative projects, including: operating policy financial programs for startups, planning and operating programs that connect to global expansion, and establishing a resource-sharing and information exchange system. In addition, they will strengthen technology matching between companies and university research institutes to actively support successful technology transfer and commercialization of local tech companies.
Both organizations have agreed to use this agreement as an opportunity to expand tailored support for promising tech startups at each stage of growth, establish practical support systems for global expansion, and contribute to building an innovation-driven growth ecosystem centered on technology.
Eun-Sik Oh, Head of Incheon Regional Headquarters at Kibo, said, "This agreement will enable local tech startups to secure global competitiveness within a more stable environment based on industry-academia cooperation. Kibo will continue to expand collaboration with related organizations to vitalize an open innovation ecosystem rooted in the region and will make ongoing efforts to strengthen the innovation capabilities of small and medium-sized enterprises and startups."
