Newbotec announced on March 4 that its net profit for last year increased by 23% year-on-year to 1.6 billion won, while revenue remained at the previous year's level at 43.5 billion won.
This performance was achieved as the company's main pipe division managed to offset a decline in private sector sales, caused by the downturn in the construction market, with an increase in public sector sales driven by the expansion of the Ministry of Environment's budget. In particular, the new technology business division implemented a 'strategic restructuring' focused on risk management and profitability, rather than mere external growth. The company stated that, starting this year, it plans to accelerate the growth of its new technology business division by expanding direct sales alongside risk management.
Newbotec has secured stable mid- to long-term demand based on its unrivaled expertise in the domestic water and sewage pipeline sector. The four newly acquired 'trenchless pipe reinforcement new technologies' have proven their market competitiveness by being recognized for shortening construction periods and reducing costs, and by winning the Public Procurement Service Administrator's Award in 2025. The company plans to actively expand its business scope into the urban infrastructure regeneration sector by leveraging these technologies.
A Newbotec official stated, "Replacing aging pipelines is an essential infrastructure project that requires both national and local government budgets, ensuring structural demand," adding, "We will maximize corporate value through profit-oriented business operations and a strategy to expand the public infrastructure regeneration market in the future."
