Samcheok City in Gangwon Province has additionally selected return gifts and suppliers for the first half of 2026 to promote participation in the Hometown Love Donation Program.

After conducting a public call for local companies in January, the city made the final selection of five companies and seven return gifts through the Return Gift Selection Committee's review.
The selected items include roasted peanuts processed from locally grown peanuts, rapidly frozen red shrimp and squid caught in local waters, a handmade gangjeong set consisting of oranda, yakgwa, and seed gangjeong, movie tickets and popcorn sets usable at the local cinema, as well as a set of fermented soybean butter bars and fermented soybean powder made using locally sourced soybeans.
By further diversifying the lineup of return gifts through this additional selection, the city expects to enhance donor satisfaction and contribute to increased sales for local agriculture, fisheries, and small businesses.
An official from Samcheok City stated, "We will continue to discover return gifts that utilize the region's excellent resources, expand participation in the Hometown Love Donation Program, and work toward revitalizing the local economy."
