Ahn Byungyong, a Democratic Party of Korea preliminary candidate for mayor of Uijeongbu, welcomed the early morning of the 25th together with citizens and pledged to revive the local economy. That morning, the prospective candidate Ahn spent time communicating with citizens on their way to work, offering warm greetings at Uijeongbu Arts Center, Uijeongbu Station, and Jangam Sageori. With an earnest desire to restore the crumbling local economy, he continued his meetings with citizens.

Starting at 6:30 a.m., the prospective candidate Ahn began engaging with citizens while visiting key locations in Uijeongbu. He said, "I am deeply grateful for the support of citizens who honk their horns and wave their hands to cheer me on during their early morning commute," reaffirming his determination to set the economy right together with the citizens of Uijeongbu.
He then attended the regular general meeting of the Uijeongbu City Sustainable Development Council and said, "I would like to thank all the members who are dedicated to the environment and sustainable urban development," emphasizing the need for sustainable administration. He added, "The administration of Uijeongbu City has been wounded by disconnection and division, and I hope that sustainable administration will be restored as soon as possible."
At the inaugural ceremony of the Senior Citizens Association as well, the prospective candidate Ahn said, "I congratulate Kang Eunhee on her inauguration as the first president and wish for the association's boundless development," promising to respect the wisdom and experience of senior citizens for the development of the region. He added, "Whether it is the nation, the region, or the family, nothing goes wrong if we listen well to our elders, so I will humbly heed the valuable opinions of my seniors." This demonstrates his attitude of respecting former mayors as well as seasoned figures in the local community and valuing their views.
Attending the regular general meeting of the Korea Foodservice Industry Association Uijeongbu Branch, the prospective candidate Ahn said, "The local economy is struggling, and it seems the restaurant sector is having a very hard time," stressing, "We must revive the local economy as soon as possible, by any means necessary." He asked people to "endure just a little longer," reaffirming his determination to restore the local economy.
He also attended the graduation ceremony of Noseong Night School and shared joy with former students he had once taught after his retirement. The prospective candidate Ahn said, "Lifelong learners, including those who are now 60 or 80 years old, are completing their courses and graduating," and prayed, "Oh, Heaven! Please bless those who are graduating today." This scene showed how dearly he values education and learning.
On the night of the 24th, the prospective candidate Ahn attended the general meeting of the Uijeongbu City Social Workers Association and said, "My heart grew heavy when I heard that you are facing difficulties due to a sharp cut in the welfare budget," promising, "If I am elected, I will do my utmost to ensure that welfare-related budgets are restored." This indicates his deep concern for welfare issues in the local community.
