Kim Dongyeon: "We Will Do Our Utmost to Support the Anseong Dongsin Semiconductor Materials, Parts, and Equipment Complex"

Kim Dongyeon, Governor of Gyeonggi Province, announced that Gyeonggi Province will provide its fullest support following the central government's conditional lifting of farmland regulations related to the creation of the Dongsin Industrial Complex in Anseong.

In a message posted on his social media on the 25th, Governor Kim said, "This is welcome news that the citizens of Anseong have long been waiting for," adding, "The way has finally been opened for the creation of the Anseong Dongsin Industrial Complex."

He continued, "Dongsin Industrial Complex, the only specialized complex in the country for semiconductor materials, parts, and equipment, will now play an important role as a key base of the semiconductor mega cluster," and added, "Last November, I took the 'Daldal Bus' to Anseong to meet local residents and promised to do my best to achieve good results, and I am all the more pleased to be able to keep that promise."

Kim Dongyeon, Governor of Gyeonggi Province, posted a message and photo on his social media on the 25th.

In particular, he said, "Assemblyman Yoon Jonggun and Mayor Kim Bora worked actively and tirelessly on the ground to resolve the issues surrounding Dongsin Industrial Complex, and I am truly grateful for their hard work," and pledged, "As this is only the beginning, Gyeonggi Province will do its utmost until the end to ensure that everything proceeds smoothly from the start of construction to completion of Dongsin Industrial Complex."

On the 24th, the city of Anseong obtained conditional approval in the farmland conversion consultation with the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs regarding the lifting of the agricultural promotion area designation for the creation of the Dongsin Semiconductor Materials, Parts, and Equipment Specialized Complex, the city announced on the 25th.

As a result, with the farmland regulations that had been the biggest obstacle to the project now resolved, the project to create a 1,168,318-square-meter specialized complex, scheduled for completion in 2032, has entered full swing.

To be built in the Dongsin-ri area of Bogae-myeon, Anseong, this complex will be the only specialized industrial complex in the country for semiconductor materials, parts, and equipment, giving it both symbolic significance and strategic value.
