Highest Grade Achieved for Two Consecutive Years

Gokseong-gun in Jeollanam-do has proven its top-tier capacity for transparent administration by earning the highest grade for the second consecutive year in the "2025 Information Disclosure Comprehensive Evaluation" hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.
According to Gokseong-gun on February 25, the Information Disclosure Comprehensive Evaluation is a system that assesses overall information disclosure practices, including proactive information publication, original document disclosure, appropriateness of handling information disclosure requests, and customer management, for 226 basic local governments nationwide. The evaluation is conducted based on 12 indicators across 5 categories, and only the top 20% of institutions are awarded the "highest" grade.
In this evaluation, Gokseong-gun stood out in the speed and thoroughness of handling information disclosure requests. In addition, it received high marks for significantly expanding proactive information publication tailored to residents' expectations and actively disclosing original documents.
In particular, efforts such as extensively improving its website to enhance information accessibility and strengthening internal staff training, thereby consistently practicing transparent and accountable administration, served as positive factors.
On this basis, Gokseong-gun has firmly established itself as a model local government in the field of information disclosure, securing the highest grade in 2025 following 2024.
An official from Gokseong-gun said, "Information disclosure is the most basic and important commitment to enhancing trust in administration," adding, "We will continue to do our best to firmly guarantee residents' right to know and to practice transparent and open administration."
