"Oh Sehoon, Are You on the Left!" Jeon Hangil Berates in Informal Tone...Pressures Him to Provide Venue for 'Yoon Again Concert'

After KINTEX canceled the booking at the request of Governor Kim Dongyeon
Jeon pressures Mayor Oh Sehoon to make a decision to provide a concert venue

The far-right YouTuber Jeon Hangil, a former Korean history instructor who has been pushing the narratives of "Yoon Again" and a "rigged election conspiracy theory," suddenly called on Seoul Mayor Oh Sehoon to help secure a venue after the "Yoon Again" concert he had planned to hold to coincide with March 1 Independence Movement Day faced collapse due to venue booking issues.

"Oh Sehoon, Are You on the Left!" Jeon Hangil Berates in Informal Tone...Pressures Him to Provide Venue for 'Yoon Again Concert' Jeon Hangil attended a rally of supporters of former President Yoon Sukyeol held in front of the Seoul Central District Court in Seocho-gu on the 19th and made remarks about the sentencing. The court sentenced former President Yoon Sukyeol to life imprisonment. Yonhap

During a YouTube live broadcast on the 24th, Jeon said, "If Mayor Oh Sehoon claims to be on the right and a conservative mayor, I ask him this: I request that Mayor Oh step up so that the (Yoon Again) concert, which cannot be held due to pressure from the left, can be held under the auspices of the Seoul Metropolitan Government," adding, "Please give us an answer." He then pressured Mayor Oh to cooperate with holding the concert, speaking in informal language and asking, "Are you on the right or the left?" "Are you progressive or conservative?" and "Are you an anti-state force?"

Jeon had initially planned to hold a "March 1 Independence Movement Day Freedom Concert" on the 2nd at KINTEX in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province. However, it emerged that when he applied to rent the venue from KINTEX, he did not disclose that the event would deal with Yoon Again and the rigged election conspiracy theory, and instead described it as a purely cultural performance featuring singers. This led Gyeonggi Province Governor Kim Dongyeon to request the cancellation of the booking. KINTEX is a local government-funded institution jointly invested in by Gyeonggi Province, the central government, and Goyang City, and Gyeonggi Province holds management and supervisory authority over it.

In response, KINTEX pointed out that the original application for a venue rental for a purely cultural performance had been false and notified Jeon’s side on the 23rd that the booking had been canceled. In turn, Jeon is protesting, claiming that the cancellation decision amounts to "political persecution."

Jeon has long strongly criticized Mayor Oh, who has been at odds with the leadership under Jang Donghyuk while calling for a complete break with former President Yoon Sukyeol. Nevertheless, Jeon urged Mayor Oh and the People Power Party leadership to attend the concert, saying, "Let many patriotic conservative citizens unite as one to protect former President Yoon Sukyeol together."

Jeon also took aim at Governor Kim, who requested the cancellation of the KINTEX booking, saying, "A true man does not argue or fight with petty villains." He further stated that, under the contract, he had already paid costs to partner companies involved in the concert, and appealed to viewers for donations by saying, "Please provide solid freedom subscription fees. We do not take Chinese money."
