Stronger Curation by Age Group and Learning Goal
New Semester Promotions Spanning Both Print Books and Digital Textbooks
Kyobo Book Centre announced on the 25th that, to mark the 2026 new school year, it will run customized promotions tailored by age group and goal, covering everyone from young children to university students and office workers. The company plans to support the overall learning environment by combining reference books and exam prep books with eBook university textbooks and YouTube content.
Kyobo Book Centre is running the "New Semester Playlist Playback Complete!" event, in collaboration with Hanssem, until the 28th. Subscribers to the Kyobo Book Centre YouTube channel will be entered into a draw to receive a Hanssem motion desk set and other prizes, and educational content such as "Sseodream Editing Studio," which covers writing know-how, and "6-Minute Classics," a classic literature commentary series, will also be provided.
The company has also prepared a special "Everything for the New Semester" promotion that covers everything from materials for young children, to elementary, middle, and high school reference books, to university textbooks and stationery. In the young children category, a collaborative promotion with the popular character "Cheese Duck" will run until April 30, offering limited-edition merchandise. In the elementary, middle, and high school reference book category, the company will curate the top 10 books by grade level until March 30, and will give away special merchandise such as notebooks and umbrellas created in collaboration with "Fukafuka Studio," depending on the purchase amount.
The "Study Habits You Need Right Now" event, aimed at university students and job seekers, will continue until April 5. It will feature more than 80 titles in fields such as foreign languages, IT, and technology, and will offer a study planner created in collaboration with illustrator "Saisaesai" as an exclusive piece of merchandise.
In line with growing demand for digital learning, eBook benefits have also been strengthened. During the "2026 First Semester University Textbook Fair," which runs from the 25th to March 31, selected titles will be discounted by up to 50%, and rental periods will be offered for up to 365 days in line with the semester schedule. The note-taking function in the Kyobo eBook app has also been improved to enhance learning convenience when using devices such as tablet PCs.
A Kyobo Book Centre representative said, "The new school term is a time when choosing learning materials that fit your goals is especially important," adding, "We will support students' new beginnings through integrated content that encompasses both paper books and digital textbooks."
