"AI and Digital Future Classrooms"... Jeonnam Office of Education Distributes "2030 Classroom Guide"

Analysis of 133 Real Class Cases
Focus on Student-Led Problem Solving
One-on-One Customized Consulting for Frontline Teachers
"Creating Premium Class Brands"

The Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education announced on the 25th that it has distributed the “Elementary 2030 Classroom Guide,” which reflects on-site operational experience from the 2025 academic year, to frontline schools and presented class design standards and operating procedures that can be applied in the field.

The materials distributed this time were prepared to help frontline teachers easily understand the direction of education policy and to enable them to design and operate customized classes suited to the circumstances of each school. A key feature is that they systematically cover the actual practices of 2030 classroom instruction, the creation of digital and spatial environments, and practical procedures.

In particular, the on-site applicability of the materials was greatly enhanced by conducting in-depth analyses of 59 hours of classes showcased at the “2024 Korea Glocal Future Education Expo” Glocal Future Classroom held last year, as well as the cases of 133 actual 2030 classrooms operated in the 2025 academic year.

Reflecting the goal of “Glocal Jeonnam Education in Symbiosis,” the provincial office newly developed the “Jeonnam Elementary Class Model.” Through this, it has enabled flexible combinations of class themes and methods according to the conditions of the region, school, class, and students, and it expects that teachers will be able to realize their own “class brands” in the 2030 classroom by embedding their individual educational philosophies.

In terms of class operation, the guide introduces a variety of teaching and learning methods that go beyond simple use of technology. Through AI-based classes, region-linked projects, the use of digital collaboration tools, and real-time remote cooperative classes, it encourages class designs that focus on processes in which students directly explore and solve problems.

It also presents concrete examples that can be immediately applied in the field, such as AI-based data analysis and content creation. Efforts are continuing to ensure successful on-site adoption. On the 24th, the provincial office held the “Elementary 2030 Classroom Workshop” at the Jeollanamdo Office of Education Training Institute and conducted customized consulting for each school.

At this workshop, teachers who had directly operated 2030 classrooms in the 2025 academic year served as instructors and shared vivid, hands-on experiences accumulated over the past year, including cases of classes without temporal, spatial, or language barriers and ways to make 100-fold use of the 2030 classroom, drawing an enthusiastic response. Last year, the provincial office appointed 2030 classroom teachers as consultants to further strengthen the customized support system, and starting this year, it plans to provide close support throughout the entire process from classroom creation to class operation through one-on-one, school-level, intensive consulting.

Kim Byeongnam, Director of Early Childhood and Elementary Education, said, “This guide is a compilation of materials organized so that the outcomes and tasks derived from the field can be used immediately,” adding, “Going forward, we will actively support the design of classes suited to school conditions through consultant support and help teachers complete their own class brands.”

Meanwhile, the provincial office plans to operate 2030 classroom workshops for preschool and secondary school targets in the future, and the distributed “2026 2030 Classroom Guide” is available to anyone through the public data room on the Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education website.
