Gochang County is recruiting young farmers to move into the "Young Farmers Smart Farm Complex," which is scheduled for completion in March.
The Young Farmers Smart Farm Complex has been built on a 49,775-square-meter site at 190, Panjeong-ri, Seongsong-myeon, Gochang County. A total of six greenhouses covering 20,800 square meters will be installed, including two single-span houses, three multi-span houses, and one smart-type house.
The target is 12 teams of young farmers between the ages of 18 and 45. They must reside in Gochang County, including having their resident registration there. Applicants who currently live outside the county may also apply if they transfer their address to Gochang County by the application deadline.
A 1,500-square-meter greenhouse will be allocated to each team. By building systems tailored to the characteristics of crops such as watermelons, melons, strawberries, and tomatoes, the complex is expected to help resident young farmers acquire cultivation skills and settle into stable farming operations.
Young farmers wishing to move in can visit the Young Smart Farm TF Team at the Gochang County Agricultural Technology Center and submit the required documents, and further details can be found in the notices and announcements posted by Gochang County Office.
Gochang County Governor Sim Deokseop said, "Smart farms and young farmers are key drivers that will lead the future of local agriculture and are an important foundation for sustainable agricultural development," adding, "We will do our best to strengthen systematic on-site guidance so that young farmers can become the core of local agriculture and grow into competitive farmers."
