Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation to Subsidize Three Months of Wages for Companies Hiring Young People

The Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation will provide three months of wage support to companies that hire young people.

The provincial Job Foundation announced on the 25th that it is recruiting companies to participate in the "2026 Gyeonggi Youth Job Matchup Plus" program, which aims to alleviate job mismatches between unemployed young people in the province and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and social enterprises, and to support young people in entering the labor market in a stable manner.

The recruitment is divided into a general type and a northern-specialized type.

Under the general type, if a company pays participating youth at least the provincial living wage, the foundation will subsidize 80% of that reference wage (up to approximately 2.1 million won per month) for three months. Under the northern-specialized type, if a company pays at least the statutory minimum wage for this year, the foundation will subsidize up to 100% of that reference wage (up to approximately 2.16 million won per month) for three months.

Eligible applicants are SMEs or social enterprises that, as of the announcement date, have business sites in Gyeonggi Province. They must plan to hire local young people aged between 19 and 39 as full-time employees. For the northern-specialized type, only companies with business sites in the northern region of Gyeonggi Province may apply.

Companies wishing to participate can apply online via the Jobaba Apply website (apply.jobaba.net) by the 27th of this month.

Yoon Deokryong, CEO of the Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation, said, "We will actively support young people in the province who are struggling to find jobs so that they can demonstrate their capabilities in quality jobs," adding, "We hope for active participation from SMEs and social enterprises in the province."
