Sijibio Exports Absorbable Suture "DOOTH" to Japan

Sijibio announced on the 25th that it has exported its premium absorbable suture "DOOTH" to Japan.

DOOTH is an absorbable suture product for aesthetic procedures that was launched in Korea in November 2024. It has received approval from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety for a confirmatory clinical trial plan, and a multicenter clinical trial is currently underway.

The product is characterized by its design that allows it to be fixed to tissue without a separate tying process. Based on a domestic patent design that applies a T-shaped structure and complex barbs, it enhances tissue fixation and holding power. By applying two different structures in opposite directions, it is designed to maintain its effect over an extended period. The product lineup consists of three types: DREAM, TRUE, and SHORTS. Practitioners can select among them depending on the treatment area and the purpose of the procedure.

Before exporting to Japan, Sijibio had already supplied this product to Indonesia. Based on its overseas supply experience, the company plans to promote expansion into the global aesthetic market. Going forward, based on the results of the confirmatory clinical trial, it plans to sequentially pursue global regulatory approvals, including European CE certification, the U.S. FDA, and China’s NMPA.
