LG H&H Launches "Perio Kids Discovery of Enzymes"
Active Enzymes That Last 8 Hours After Brushing
Track and Break Down Cavity-Causing Substances

On the 25th, LG H&H announced that it has launched two types of toothpaste, "Perio Kids Discovery of Enzymes," which help effectively prevent cavities by having active enzymes track and break down cavity-causing substances that remain on the teeth of children who are not yet good at brushing.

This new product was developed based on the insight that children’s brushing often fails to thoroughly reach the grooves and gaps of their teeth, making them more prone to cavities. It is the first product in Korea to introduce a new concept in which active enzyme ingredients locate and decompose "plaque," the cavity-causing substance that remains in every corner of the teeth.

When children brush their teeth with Perio Kids Discovery of Enzymes toothpaste, the active enzyme "dextranase," which is specialized in breaking down sugars, remains for 8 hours after brushing, tracking and decomposing cavity-causing substances between the teeth. In a human application test, the product showed an 87.5% reduction in plaque, the cavity-causing substance, when used. An efficacy evaluation also confirmed a 99.9% inhibition effect on invisible cavity-causing bacteria.

Together with fruit-derived enzyme ingredients, the product contains 1,450 ppm of fluoride so that it meets the high-fluoride toothpaste standard recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO) for preventing cavities in children. In addition, it features a mild, non-spicy mint flavor and a refreshing, non-sweet grape flavor that children can use without resistance, and it is formulated without 10 specific ingredients.

To celebrate the launch of the new product, LG H&H will participate in the "Kids Week" event held on Naver Store through March 1, offering various launch benefits. In addition, it will release collaborative content with the popular YouTube channel "A-Grade Jang Youngran" and plans to introduce the Discovery of Enzymes toothpaste to customers who are concerned about their children’s tooth-brushing habits.
