[Today’s New Release] Diageo Launches Limited-Edition Peat Whisky "Lagavulin 11 Year-Old Sweet Peat"

Sweet first sip, followed by intense flavor

Diageo Korea announced on the 25th that it will officially launch the new limited-edition single malt whisky “Lagavulin 11 Year-Old Sweet Peat” in Korea.

[Today’s New Release] Diageo Launches Limited-Edition Peat Whisky "Lagavulin 11 Year-Old Sweet Peat" Provided by Diageo Korea.

Lagavulin is a brand that began at a distillery established in 1816 on Scotland’s Islay, and is known as the “King of Islay” for its intense peat aroma and rich, smoky character. It adheres to traditional methods, using locally grown barley and slowly distilling in onion-shaped stills, and is characterized by a long distillation process that creates a deep and complex flavor profile.

The newly introduced “Lagavulin 11 Year-Old Sweet Peat” adds sweet and smooth notes to the powerful smokiness typical of Islay whiskies. The first nose offers a subtle sweetness, followed by Lagavulin’s signature maritime peat character that lingers on the palate.

Matured for 11 years in first-fill American oak bourbon casks, it delivers additional vanilla, caramel, and delicate fruity aromas. While preserving the brand’s distinctive character, it offers a more balanced taste so that not only existing peat whisky enthusiasts but also beginners can enjoy it with ease. The product will be available in limited quantities at large supermarket chains and convenience stores nationwide from the middle of next month.
