Krit Ventures Invests in Global Drone Company "Ubify"

On February 25, domestic venture capital (VC) firm Krit Ventures announced that it has invested in Ubify, a global drone company. As global competition to foster domestic drone industries intensifies, Krit Ventures said it highly values Ubify's growth potential, noting that the company is pioneering the global market based on its unrivaled fundamental technologies.

Ubify was founded by CEO Lim Hyun, who holds a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from Seoul National University. By aggressively targeting overseas markets from its early days, the company has gained recognition for the performance and technological capabilities of its drones, and now generates most of its revenue from abroad. It also became the first Korean drone company to receive the "10 Million Dollar Export Tower" award.

In particular, Ubify holds the No. 1 market share in the global swarm drone sector and has successfully led events such as the Guinness Drone Show and the Gwangalli M Drone Light Show. It has also demonstrated its capabilities by staging drone shows for prominent artists including K-Pop Demon Hunters, G-Dragon, and BLACKPINK.

Ubify is also the only Korean company to have secured a seat on the board of the Dronecode Foundation, which is related to the drone operating system (OS) "PX4." Through this, the company is expected to help Korea secure sovereignty in drone technology as global drone standards are established. Ubify also plans to actively participate in national defense drone policies, including the government's initiative to train 500,000 "drone warriors."

Lim Hyun, CEO of Ubify, said, "With this round of investment, we will further solidify our market position in entertainment swarm drones in the global market, and expand our business into defense drones that combine advanced swarm drone technologies with autonomous flight technologies and physical AI."
