107th March 1st Independence Day, Awakened by Traditional Melodies... National Museum Performance "My Country Daehan"

The National Museum of Korean Contemporary History will hold a commemorative performance titled "My Country Daehan" at 2 p.m. on March 1, on the third floor of the museum building, to mark the 107th anniversary of the March 1st Independence Movement Day. The performance will firmly reaffirm the noble spirit of independence of our ancestors through traditional Korean instruments and voices.

On stage will be Park Sanghoo, principal conductor of the KBS Korean Traditional Music Orchestra, and Jeongga vocalist Ha Yoonju. The orchestra will successively perform "You, Make the Flowers Bloom," which honors the sacrifices of unsung heroes, "Flowers of K" composed by Yang Bang-ean, and "Song of March 1st Independence Movement Day." Vocalist Ha Yoonju will sing "Daehan Survived" and "My Country Daehan," which reinterpret prison songs of female independence activists. Visitors can enjoy the performance without any prior registration.

Han Soo, Director of the National Museum of Korean Contemporary History, said, "By linking the Liberation special exhibition '1945-1948: Recovering History, Becoming Ourselves Again' with the performance, we will create an opportunity to reflect on the future of our nation."
