Young people participating in this year’s program will gain hands-on experience through an internship of either 8 or 12 weeks. Eligible applicants are unemployed youth aged 15 or older but under 35, and the recruitment focuses on core roles that are highly preferred by both young people and companies, mainly in management and office work, advertising and marketing, and IT.

As participation benefits, based on a four-week period per intern, each of the following will be provided: youth support funds of up to 1.5 million won per intern, a 150,000 won allowance for in-company practical work mentors, and 200,000 won in company support funds. To further enhance participating youths’ competitiveness in the job market, the program will also run tailored supplementary services such as support for resume photo shoots and one-on-one consulting for employment and self-introduction letters.

Kim Myungjin, President of the Main Biz Association, said, “We will continue to take the lead in creating a virtuous cycle that both alleviates manpower shortages at small and medium-sized enterprises and revitalizes youth employment.”
