Gapyeong-gun Conducts Detailed Review of 50 Strategic Projects... "To Ensure Smooth Implementation" Gapyeong-gun held the "50 Strategic Projects Progress Report Meeting" on the 23rd to review major issues directly affecting residents' lives and the campaign pledge projects of the 8th-term administration. Provided by Gapyeong-gun.

The meeting was attended by Governor Seo Taewon, the deputy governor, bureau directors, and all department heads, who focused on discussing the progress, challenges, and future measures for the strategic projects being pursued by 24 departments. The report centered on the implementation status as of January 31, 2026.

The meeting placed particular emphasis on key initiatives being promoted as priorities by Gapyeong-gun, including: hosting the 2026 Gyeonggi-do Sports Festival for All; creating the Miyeong Federation Tourism Security Park; constructing the Gapyeong-gun Senior Center (Senior Welfare Center); designation as a Peace Economy Special Zone; expanding park golf courses; branding Jaraseom Provincial Garden; implementing the Gapyeong-gun Wood-Friendly City Development Project; supporting the improvement of aging residential areas; building a public medical institution in Gapyeong-gun; and expanding the integrated water intake and purification plant in Gapyeong.

In particular, in light of the fact that the term of the 8th popularly elected administration ends in June this year, participants agreed to scrutinize each project more thoroughly and manage them carefully to prevent any setbacks in implementation. The county decided to accelerate projects that can be completed within this year and make every effort to finish them ahead of schedule.

An official from Gapyeong-gun stated, “We held a review meeting on the 50 strategic projects to promptly push forward projects closely linked to residents’ daily lives and to examine problematic projects from multiple angles in order to devise solutions,” adding, “We will continue to further strengthen the execution of major pending projects through quarterly progress report meetings.”
