Recognition for eliminating administrative blind spots and innovating resident-centered services
Cheongdo County (Governor Kim Hasu) has once again proven itself to be a leading local government in innovative administration by being selected for the second consecutive year as an excellent institution in the Ministry of the Interior and Safety's "2025 Local Government Innovation Evaluation."
The Ministry of the Interior and Safety annually evaluates 243 local governments nationwide based on 10 detailed indicators across three areas: innovation capacity, innovation performance, and public perception, and selects excellent institutions.
Cheongdo County achieved balanced results in all areas and, in particular, received very high scores for ▲the head of the institution's innovation leadership ▲strengthening resident communication and participation ▲improving services through the use of AI and digital technologies ▲enhancing resident services and eliminating administrative blind spots ▲and flagship innovation projects.
In addition, the government recognized Cheongdo County's overall excellence in innovation capacity, including: ▲creating the "Innovation Agriculture Town," a joint-farming model through a major transition in agriculture ▲holding the nation's first "resident-participation town hall meeting" at the county level ▲providing Korean medicine volunteer medical services in cooperation with Daegu Haany University ▲improving resident services and increasing administrative work efficiency through the use of AI ▲establishing a childcare safety net through the operation of a 24-hour daycare center (All-Bodeum) and a hospital accompaniment service for sick children ▲and securing the largest-ever budget through financial innovation and efforts to activate public contest projects.
Cheongdo County Governor Kim Hasu stated, "Being selected as an excellent institution for two consecutive years is a valuable achievement created jointly by county residents and public officials," adding, "We will continue to pursue change and innovation without pause, consistently discover policies that residents can truly feel, and actively promote on-site-centered innovative administration."
Taking the opportunity of being selected as an excellent institution for two consecutive years, Cheongdo County plans to further solidify its sustainable administrative innovation system and spread its best innovation practices nationwide.
