To Support Health, Cultural, and Leisure Activities of Women Farmers in Rural Areas
Changnyeong County will accept applications for the "Women Farmers Voucher Support Program" to improve the welfare of women farmers until March 31.
This program is being promoted to improve the health of women farmers in rural areas, where cultural and welfare conditions are relatively poor, and to support their cultural and leisure activities. Those selected as beneficiaries will receive support of 200,000 won per person per year, either in the form of a voucher card or by having points credited to their Nonghyup Chaeum Card.
Eligible applicants are women farmers who are registered as agricultural business entities, reside in the county, are actually engaged in farming, and are between 20 and 74 years of age (born between January 1, 1951, and December 31, 2006). However, those who were beneficiaries of the program in the previous year but did not have a card issued, those who did not use the full amount, and those whose comprehensive non-farming income exceeds 37 million won are excluded.
Applications can be submitted either by visiting the eup or myeon community service center of one’s residence, or online (including mobile) through the Gyeongsangnam-do website "Gyeongnam Baro Service".
An official from the county said, "The role of women farmers in rural areas is growing, and we will continue to expand policies to improve the welfare of women farmers."
