Pilot Operation of "Beauty Tour" Featuring Gyeongsan Cosmetics and Beauty Experiences
Regular Courses Reorganized into Ancient Temple Scenery Tour and Museum Tour
Operated as Package Tours Accompanied by City Culture and Tourism Commentators from March
The Gyeongsan Culture and Tourism Foundation (Chairman: Mayor Cho Hyun-il of Gyeongsan) will begin full operation of the "2026 Gyeongsan City Tour," which allows visitors to experience the city’s hidden charms, starting in March.
In particular, the foundation announced that this year it will pilot a "Beauty Tour" that offers experiences related to Gyeongsan’s specialized industries of cosmetics and beauty.
The regular courses have been set under two themes to match users’ preferences.
The foundation will operate ▲an Ancient Temple Scenery Tour, which runs on the second Thursday of every month and connects Hwansungsa Temple, Bulgulsa Temple, Gatbawi, and Seonbonsa Temple, and ▲a Museum Tour, which runs on the fourth Saturday of every month and connects the Imdang Relics Exhibition Hall, the Gyeongsan Municipal Museum, and the Samsunghyeon History and Culture Center.
In addition to the regular courses, around ten flexible courses will be offered throughout the year, such as the Yukdong Water Dropwort Tour in March and the Gyeongsan Cherry Blossom Tour in April, tailored to each season.
All tours are operated as package programs accompanied by a Gyeongsan City culture and tourism commentator, who will share engaging hidden stories about each destination.
The newly introduced "Beauty Tour" combines Gyeongsan’s historical resources with its beauty infrastructure, and advance inquiry and reservation are required.
The main course connects the Samsunghyeon History and Culture Center, Dongui Oriental Medicine Village, Jaraji, and Daekyeung University or Daegu Haany University Osung Campus, and offers premium beauty experiences such as phytoncide oxygen chamber detox, makeup based on personal color analysis, and making your own cosmetics.
Chairman Cho Hyun-il of the Gyeongsan Culture and Tourism Foundation said, "The Beauty Tour is an original piece of content that leverages Gyeongsan’s strengths," adding, "Since we are starting early in March this year, I hope citizens will fully enjoy Gyeongsan’s spring, and we will provide a refined city tour where they can experience the charm and beauty of Gyeongsan."
Reservations can be made through the reservation system on the Gyeongsan Culture and Tourism Foundation website or by phone, and the city tour fee is 5,000 won.
The Gyeongsan Culture and Tourism Foundation also announced plans to conduct customized promotional activities, including SNS review and survey events for passengers, as well as on-site promotional visits targeting specific groups, such as distributing leaflets.
