Gumi Chamber of Commerce and Industry Holds the 6th Gumi Corporate Management Strategy Seminar

Changes in the AI Paradigm and Outlook for the Shipbuilding, Defense, and Machinery Industries

The Gumi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Chairman: Yoon Jaeho) and the Gumi branch of Shinhan Investment Corp. (Branch Manager: Kim Juil) held the 6th Gumi Corporate Management Strategy Seminar on the 1st floor in the medium-sized conference room of the Gumi Chamber of Commerce and Industry on the 24th, with CEOs and executives and employees of companies in the Gumi area in attendance.


As speakers for the seminar, Research Fellow Oh Kangho and Team Leader Lee Dongheon from the Corporate Research Department at Shinhan Investment Corp. were invited to give lectures on the 2026 AI paradigm and the outlook for the shipbuilding, defense, and machinery industries.

Research Fellow Oh Kangho, under the theme of "Changes in the AI Paradigm and Outlook for the IT Industry in 2026," explained the unfolding of the AI market and structural changes in hardware devices and software/IT services. In particular, he presented the key points and AI trends that will define 2026, highlighting the trajectory of industrial structural change and the technological developments that companies should pay close attention to.


Next, Team Leader Lee Dongheon, through his "Analysis of the Shipbuilding, Defense, and Machinery Industries," analyzed global shipbuilding order trends and their impact on domestic industries, and explained the growth drivers and policy environment of the defense industry. He also reviewed business conditions in the machinery and equipment sector and capital expenditure trends, and proposed strategic approaches for seeking opportunities even amid external risks.


Shim Gyu-jeong, Head of the Economic Research Team/Corporate Attraction Team at the Gumi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said, "We plan to continue expanding practical information sharing and strategic seminars so that companies can respond effectively to the rapidly changing global industrial environment."
