GOTMAN to Continuously Sponsor Mujuk Festival Plays Through "Culture Mate" Starting in March

Premium kitchenware brand GOTMAN has decided to expand its long-running cultural and arts social contribution program, "Culture Mate," and has selected the play "I Am You" as its first sponsored performance of the year.

Until now, GOTMAN's "Culture Mate" program has sponsored one performance every month. Thanks to the steady interest and high participation it has received, the company has now decided to sponsor a series of productions featured in the 12th Mujuk Festival, which showcases leading actors in their 40s and 50s. "I Am You" has been chosen as the first work to be sponsored in March.

"I Am You" is scheduled to run at Theater Dongguk from March 4 to March 15, 2026. Those who wish to attend can apply for a free reservation code through the GOTMAN Naver Brand Store.

The Mujuk Festival is a theater festival that began in 2015, when five theater companies based in Daehangno came together around original plays. This year marks its 12th edition. "Mujuk" is short for the phrase "I will die on stage," encapsulating the determination and passion of actors who vow to devote their lives to the stage.

The participating companies present productions led primarily by actors in their 40s and older. As these 40s and 50s actors, who have long guarded the stage, showcase their deeply nuanced performances and mature expressiveness, audiences can experience acting that fully embodies the density of the years, over the course of three months.

GOTMAN plans to sponsor this Mujuk Festival by supporting two plays each month from March through May, for a total of six productions. The second sponsored performance, "Homo Sacer," will also be staged at the same venue from March 18 to March 29, 2026.

GOTMAN continues to support the theater community through its "Culture Mate" program as part of its social contribution initiatives, in order to encourage artists' dreams and their time on stage. The program carries a message that goes beyond commercial objectives, expressing a commitment to jointly consider the sustainability of the cultural and arts ecosystem.

The program is operated so that anyone can participate, regardless of whether they have purchased GOTMAN products or registered as a member of its online mall. This is in line with the program's aim of supporting culture and the arts by lowering the barrier to theater attendance and allowing more people to experience live performances.

A GOTMAN representative said, "By having the Culture Mate program join forces with this theater festival, we hope it will become a meaningful example of how the performances of actors in their 40s and 50s, who are once again burning brightly on stage, can meet the steps of a company that supports them."
