Satisfaction Survey of 322 Participating Companies
Overall Satisfaction at 97% with Improved Maintenance Quality
Clear Program Effects Such as Reduced Burden of Equipment Purchases
Gyeonggi Province found that companies participating in its automobile maintenance business support program reported a satisfaction rate of 97%.
On February 24, Gyeonggi Province announced that this result came from a satisfaction survey conducted in January on 322 companies that took part in the Gyeonggi Province automobile maintenance business support program.
The "Automobile Maintenance Business Support Program" is a policy introduced for the first time nationwide by Gyeonggi Province in 2024. It provides financial support for the introduction of maintenance and inspection equipment for eco-friendly vehicles such as hybrid cars and electric vehicles. The province supported 114 companies in 2024 and 231 companies in 2025.
The survey was conducted to be used as basic data to improve future operation methods by identifying overall satisfaction with the program, service quality, and program effectiveness. The results showed that 70% of respondents were "very satisfied" and 27% were "satisfied," while there were no "dissatisfied" responses.
In particular, regarding the tangible effects of the program, 72% of respondents answered that "maintenance quality has improved." This was followed by "reduced burden of equipment purchases" (44%), "improved working environment" (40%), and "increased sales" (33%).
Looking at the characteristics of the participating companies, automobile specialty maintenance shops (third-class car centers) accounted for the largest share at 81%, and companies that had been in operation for more than 20 years accounted for 61%. The province believes this reflects the demand from companies that need support for purchasing high-priced equipment in order to respond to the rapidly expanding eco-friendly vehicle maintenance environment.
The participating companies mainly requested an expansion of the scale and budget of the support, as well as diversification of the supported items.
Jung Chanung, head of the Taxi Transportation Division of Gyeonggi Province, said, "Through this survey, we have come to understand the needs of on-site maintenance companies," adding, "We will continue to promote policies that reflect on-site opinions so that workers in the automobile maintenance business can ease their management burdens and enhance their technological competitiveness."
Based on the results of this satisfaction survey, the province plans to establish the 2026 automobile maintenance business support program plan.
