On the 23rd, Kim Hyekyung presented a custom-made hanbok to First Lady Rosangela Lula da Silva, who is visiting Korea with Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva.

According to Jeon Eunsu, deputy spokesperson for the Blue House, Kim and Rosangela viewed the gifts prepared by the Korean side in a separate space set up at the Blue House that day.

The gifts were the hanbok and accessories that the two first ladies had ordered on the 21st at Gwangjang Market in Jongno-gu, Seoul. The hanbok consisted of a light purple jeogori jacket and a light pink skirt. A light pink binyeo hairpin and back hairpin, a norigae ornament, and flower-patterned shoes were also displayed together.

Seeing the completed hanbok, Kim exclaimed, "Wow, it is already finished. It is more beautiful than I expected." She then told Rosangela, "I think you will look even more beautiful when you wear it later," to which Rosangela replied in Korean, "Gamsahamnida (thank you)."

During their conversation, Kim said, "The video of our visit to the National Folk Museum of Korea in Paju with you last weekend has become a hot topic," adding, "In particular, the scenes on social media of us wearing hanbok have been reported and are gaining great popularity among our people."

In response, Rosangela said, "The related news is also being very well received in Brazil," and added, "Since I have been able to fully enjoy Korean cuisine and culture during my visit, I hope that Brazil and Korea can continue to pursue various forms of cooperation together in the future."

The two first ladies also discussed various social issues and current affairs. Kim remarked, "I am deeply impressed by how you continue your vigorous social activities and devote yourself to creating a world without discrimination."

Lastly, Kim emphasized, "Since the paths that our two presidents have walked are similar, I believe there are many things they understand about each other without having to say them aloud," and added, "I hope that the Republic of Korea and Brazil will become partners that move forward together in a mutually beneficial way."

Meanwhile, on the same day, the two first ladies visited the Seoul Craft Museum to view an exhibition themed "Artisans, Benefiting the World."
