Pohang City announced that the '2026 Pohang Steelers season-ticket sales event' held on the 23rd in the city hall lobby was successfully completed amid enthusiastic interest from fans.

This event was organized to wish the Pohang Steelers success in the new season and to further spread the passion for football.

In particular, the club offered general-seat season tickets at a remarkable price with a 42% discount off the regular price, drawing many fans from early in the morning.

Head coach Park Taeha, captain group members Jeon Minkwang and Park Chanyong, veteran player Shin Gwanghoon, and Ki Sungyueng, who will be in charge of Pohang's midfield this season, all attended in person, adding to the excitement.

Fans who visited the venue took photos at the life-size player photo zone and enjoyed participating in an on-site quiz event with the players.

Acting Mayor of Pohang Jang Sanggil, who personally purchased a season ticket at the event, said, "Despite many difficulties last year, the Pohang Steelers finished fourth in the league and even secured a spot in the ACLE, bringing joy to the citizens of Pohang," adding, "This year as well, together with the citizens of Pohang, I will support the team's strong performance for the players who will deliver moving moments to the fans."

At the player autograph session held after the sales event, fans responded enthusiastically to the opportunity to communicate directly and take commemorative photos with players they would normally only see at the stadium.

Meanwhile, the Pohang Steelers will begin their full-fledged regular K League 1 season on the 28th with an away match against Gimcheon Sangmu in the opening round.
