Gimcheon Welfare Foundation Holds 2026 First Board of Directors Meeting

Enhancing the Tangible Impact of Local Welfare

The Gimcheon Welfare Foundation announced that it held the "2026 First Board of Directors Meeting" in the meeting room on the second floor of City Hall on the 20th.

Twelve board members attended this meeting, during which they conducted an in-depth discussion on the 2025 fiscal year settlement review, as well as the future direction of the foundation's key project operations.

At the board meeting, the 2025 revenue and expenditure settlement was reviewed through an in-depth examination aimed at enhancing the transparency and reliability of the foundation's operations, and it was approved as originally proposed. In addition, the board continued to explore ways to not only improve welfare for marginalized groups, but also create a future in which Gimcheon citizens can participate together.

A representative of the foundation said, "Since the launch of the Gimcheon Welfare Foundation, citizens' donations have continued steadily, which has been a great help in laying the foundation for improving local welfare," adding, "We will continue to cherish the warm hearts of local residents and do our best to help Gimcheon City be reborn as a happy community."

Meanwhile, the Gimcheon Welfare Foundation has raised a total of 2.5 billion won in donations and sponsorships to date, and is contributing to improving citizens' quality of life through various welfare projects such as the Gimcheon-type SOS Emergency Support Project, the Hope Welfare Community Support Project, the Sponsorship Matching Project, and the Care Cost Support Project. This year, through small-scale facility improvement projects, it plans to enhance the convenience of users of social welfare facilities and, furthermore, improve the quality of local welfare services.
