National Mokpo University, No. 1 in Employment Rate, Holds Degree Conferral Ahead of Integrated University Launch

National Mokpo University, which has achieved the highest employment rate among general national universities selected as Glocal Universities, is sending 1,177 outstanding talents into society.

Mokpo National University announced on the 23rd that it will hold the "2025 Academic Year First-Semester Degree Conferral Ceremony" on the 24th in the first-floor auditorium of the university gymnasium. Through this degree conferral ceremony, a total of 1,177 students, including 1,016 bachelor's degree recipients, 118 master's degree recipients, and 43 doctoral degree recipients, will be awarded their honorable degrees.

The event will be attended by graduates, parents, and key guests, and will proceed in the following order: academic report, congratulatory remarks by the president, congratulatory speeches by distinguished guests, address by the representative of the graduating class, and the conferral of degrees.

In particular, various commendations will be presented to graduates who have achieved excellent academic performance and contributed to the development of the university, including the President's Award, the President of the Alumni Association Award, the National Assembly Member Award, the Mayor of Mokpo Award, and the Chairman of Mokpo City Council Award, to encourage their new beginning.

The educational competitiveness of Mokpo National University ahead of graduation has been firmly proven through objective indicators. According to the "2024 Higher Education Institution Graduate Employment Statistics Survey" recently announced by the Ministry of Education and the Korea Educational Development Institute, Mokpo National University recorded a high employment rate of 67.5%.

This figure ranks within the top five among the 31 four-year universities nationwide that have been selected as Glocal Universities, and it is clearly ranked first among general national universities. By department, the Department of Pharmacy (96.6%), the Department of Architecture (92.3%), and the Department of Cadastre (89.0%) have shown overwhelming employment performance, driving the overall competitiveness of the university.
