One-Stop Support for Engaged Couples, Reminder Weddings, and Family Photo Shoots
Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province announced that it is recruiting participants for the 2026 program titled "Drawing Love in Special Ecological Spaces: The One-and-Only Green Outdoor Studio Project," which supports weddings and family photo shoots set against the backdrop of unique ecological spaces.
This project has been planned since last year with the aim of connecting Jeonbuk's outstanding ecological and environmental resources to residents' daily lives, and of newly "drawing (Green)" the meaning of marriage and family in nature. It is organized by the Jeonbuk Ecotourism Promotion Support Center and is intended both to promote major ecotourism destinations such as Samcheolli-gil, which links Jeonbuk into a single network, and ecological ponds, and to provide residents with sustainable ecotourism services.
This year, based on last year's operational experience, the project will be supplemented and expanded, and the program will be run by utilizing a wider variety of ecotourism sites. In particular, the number of family photo sessions will be increased from 3 teams to 10 teams in response to demand, with a focus on spreading the value and meaning of family in an era of low birth rates and an aging population.
Eligible applicants are engaged couples and middle-aged or older couples wishing to have a reminder wedding, and at least one spouse must be a current resident of the province or scheduled to move into the province. Selected participants will receive one-stop support for the entire wedding, including decoration of the ceremony space, wedding attire, makeup, and outdoor snapshot photography.
The family photo sessions are open to families of three or more members residing in the province, and will include outdoor snapshot photography, as well as provision of the original image files, framed prints, and a commemorative desk calendar.
The Green Outdoor Studio project is designed to pursue small-scale, eco-friendly events that minimize unnecessary waste, and to allow participants to reflect on the preciousness of marriage and family in special spaces that are in harmony with nature. It is expected to offer opportunities to experience the ecological value of Jeonbuk in a way that is distinct from commercial events.
Final participants will coordinate with the Jeonbuk Ecotourism Promotion Support Center to select locations and schedules that align with the purpose of the project. Detailed information, including how to apply, can be found on the website of the Jeonbuk Ecotourism Promotion Support Center.
The Director-General of Environment and Forests of Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province said, "This project is a special opportunity for residents to record meaningful moments in their lives in Jeonbuk's outstanding ecological spaces," adding, "We hope it will serve as a catalyst for Jeonbuk's precious ecological resources to naturally spread into residents' everyday lives."
