KB Kookmin Card Launches Runner-Focused "KB Marathon Card"

KB Kookmin Card announced on the 23rd that it has launched the KB Marathon Card, a specialized card for runners.

The product was designed to reflect the growing running population and the trend of expanding related consumption.

It includes benefits not only in everyday spending categories frequently used by runners, such as sports merchants, convenience stores, hospitals and pharmacies, and online video services (OTT), but also partnership benefits with the running platform Runable.

The card is structured to provide practical discounts for runners of up to 55,000 won per month and up to 660,000 won per year.

Users receive a 20% discount when purchasing tickets or using the store within the Runable application. If the card usage in the previous month is at least 400,000 won, the maximum discount is 10,000 won, and if it is at least 800,000 won, the maximum discount is 15,000 won.

For spending at sports merchants, a 5% discount is provided, with a maximum of 10,000 won for monthly spending of at least 400,000 won in the previous month, and a maximum of 15,000 won for at least 800,000 won.

For convenience stores, a 5% discount is applied. If spending in the previous month is at least 400,000 won, up to 2,000 won is discounted, and if it is at least 800,000 won, up to 5,000 won is discounted.

Hospitals and pharmacies also receive a 5% discount. If the previous month's spending is at least 400,000 won, a maximum of 5,000 won is applied, and if it is at least 800,000 won, a maximum of 10,000 won is applied.

In addition, a 30% discount is applied to recurring OTT payments such as Netflix, YouTube Premium, Tving, and Disney Plus. If the previous month's spending is at least 400,000 won, up to 5,000 won is discounted, and if it is at least 800,000 won, up to 10,000 won is discounted.

To commemorate the launch of the card, a marathon race pre-registration promotion will run until March 31.

Customers who receive the KB Marathon Card and participate in the promotion will be entered into a draw to receive an additional opportunity to purchase marathon race tickets.

If a customer who has not used a KB Kookmin credit card in the past six months receives a KB Marathon Card and makes at least one transaction by March 31, 100% of the annual fee will be refunded as cashback.

The annual fee for the physical KB Marathon Card is 30,000 won, and for the mobile-only card it is 24,000 won.

The card can be issued through the KB Pay app, the KB Kookmin Card website, the customer service center, and the Runable app.
