"I Will Be a Mayor Who Understands Citizens' Lives"
Kang Byungdeok, a preliminary candidate for Hanam mayor from the Democratic Party of Korea, has fully launched his election campaign office and begun strengthening on-site communication with citizens. On this day, he appointed Kim Cheolsu, Chair of the Hanam Gap Education Committee (former director at Hanam City Hall), as his campaign manager and continued his schedule of directly meeting citizens, starting with greeting commuters at Misa Station.

At the commuter site that morning, preliminary candidate Kang listened carefully to citizens' opinions and heard a wide range of views on Hanam's key pending issues, including transportation, education, living infrastructure, and urban development. He expressed his determination to actively reflect citizens' inconveniences and demands in his policy planning.
Preliminary candidate Kang stressed, "Politics does not begin on a desk; it begins in citizens' everyday lives," adding, "I will treat the voice of every single citizen I meet on their way to work as the most important source material for policy."
He continued, "Hanam is now standing at an important turning point. In order not to miss the golden time that will determine the city's future, we must find answers in places closest to citizens," and added, "Even in the process of promoting my three core pledges - the establishment of the tentatively named Misa-Wirye Line, attracting a medical-specialized complex to the H2 site, and pushing for the designation of Misa Island's 'K-Garden' as a national garden - I will continue field-centered communication by meeting citizens in person, explaining the policies, and gathering their opinions."
In addition, preliminary candidate Kang said he plans to soon announce his "Top 10 Great Transition Pledges for Hanam," aimed at improving citizens' quality of life in areas such as education, childcare, and jobs.
Meanwhile, Kang's campaign team is preparing for the opening ceremony of his election office on March 7, and has already completed the application for the Democratic Party of Korea Gyeonggi Provincial Party's public office candidate recruitment.
