RFTech Wins 6.5 Billion Won Automation Equipment Order...Full-Fledged Leap Toward Materials, Parts, and Equipment Specialist

RFTech, an IT components specialist, announced on the 23rd that it has signed a supply contract for production automation equipment with a global automobile manufacturer. The order is for facilities that automate truck trailer manufacturing, and the contract is worth approximately 6.5 billion won.

This achievement is the first large-scale outcome realized through technological collaboration with its subsidiary Hanjoo Hitech. Since the end of last year, the two companies have been working to expand orders by leveraging core logistics automation technologies. Starting with this contract, RFTech plans to move beyond being an IT components specialist and grow into a comprehensive materials, parts, and equipment company.

The company noted that demand for truck trailers has been surging recently due to the growth of the online market, and therefore additional new orders are expected. To meet this demand, RFTech is focusing its sales capabilities on winning automation equipment orders in collaboration with its subsidiary Hanjoo Hitech.

This order will be fulfilled through in-house production, utilizing the equipment manufacturing technology of its subsidiary Hanjoo Hitech to carry out direct manufacturing. Hanjoo Hitech is a primary partner of major IT and secondary battery conglomerates such as Samsung Display, SEMES, and LG Energy Solution. Based on the technological capabilities of its subsidiary, RFTech plans to apply its solutions to a wide range of industries, including IT, automobiles, and secondary batteries.

A representative of RFTech stated, "This contract is meaningful in that it marks the starting point of a full-fledged entry into the field of automobile production automation facilities, not only in IT, based on the group's manufacturing capabilities," adding, "In the automobile sector, we will actively pursue additional projects in logistics automation and manufacturing line facilities going forward."
