Dongducheon City Fully Launches Agricultural Machinery Support Project...Applications Accepted Until March 6

Dongducheon City in Gyeonggi Province is fully launching the "2026 Agricultural Machinery Support Project" to reduce farmers' farming burdens and help improve productivity, and will accept applications until March 6, 2026.

Under this project, 70% of the purchase cost of agricultural machinery will be subsidized, and farmers will cover the remaining 30% themselves. This raises the subsidy rate from the previous structure of a 50% subsidy and 50% self-payment to 70%, and is expected to significantly reduce farmers' actual purchase burden.

With the expansion of the subsidy rate, the efficiency of farm work is expected to improve, and it is also projected to help stabilize the management of farms that are facing difficulties due to rising labor costs and other factors.

Applications for the project will be accepted until March 6, 2026, either by visiting the Agricultural Technology Information Center (349 Gangbyeonseoro) or by fax. Farms that apply will undergo a review process before being selected as final beneficiaries.

An official from Dongducheon City stated, "We have increased the subsidy rate to ease the burden in the farming field," adding, "We will continue to promote support policies that farmers can tangibly feel going forward."
