Recruiting Participants Until March 23
Selecting 130 Projects Through a Four-Stage Competition
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Creative Content Agency are recruiting participants for the "Korea Indie Game Dev Camp" until March 23.
The two institutions have completely overhauled this year's support program structure to enhance the competitiveness of the indie game industry. From initial planning to the development of a core-section prototype (vertical slice), support recipients will be narrowed down through a four-stage competition format. In the first gateway, the planning stage, they will select 130 projects in total, including 70 corporate teams and 60 individual developers.
Those who reach the final stage will receive development grants of up to 140 million won for companies and 85 million won for individuals. At each stage they pass, participants will also receive tailored training, including expert mentoring and participation in showcases.
Seven companies, including Neowiz, Discord, Smilegate, Com2uS Holdings, Krafton, Toss, and Pearl Abyss, will take part as mentors. For the selected projects, they will directly support commercialization and overseas expansion through technical consulting, participation in major exhibitions, and investment reviews.
In connection with this, the Korea Creative Content Agency will hold an information session on the production support program at 2 p.m. on the 24th at the CKL Enterprise Support Center in Gwanghwamun, Seoul.
