Daejeon Philharmonic Orchestra Presents "Masters Series 2: Romantic"

The Daejeon Philharmonic Orchestra will hold the concert "Masters Series 2: Romantic" at 7:30 p.m. on the 27th at the Art Hall of the Daejeon Arts Center.

This performance has already drawn high expectations from music fans, as it brings together the profound interpretation of Artistic Director Yeoja Kyung of the Daejeon Philharmonic Orchestra and pianist Lee Hyo, who is currently one of the most talked-about figures in the classical music world.

The first half of the program will feature Chopin's Piano Concerto No. 2, often described as his musical confession. Written with the fluttering feelings of his first love, this work is regarded as the epitome of the Romantic concerto.

Pianist Lee Hyo, appearing as soloist, is the artist who astonished the global classical music community when he and his brother both reached the finals of the prestigious International Chopin Piano Competition.

Pianist Lee Hyo has long attracted attention on stages in Korea and abroad. Based on his rich musical expressiveness and secure technique, he has consistently delivered performances that connect deeply with audiences. In this concert, he is expected to present Chopin's uniquely poetic sensitivity and lyrical beauty with even greater density and nuance.

The second half will continue with Bruckner's Symphony No. 4, "Romantic." Bruckner himself gave this subtitle to the work, a symphony in which nature, medieval imagination, and religious sublimity are interwoven, marked by its majestic orchestration and profound structural beauty.
