Yuhan Subsidiary Waijeumedi Obtains GMP Certification for Second Jincheon Plant

Waijeumedi, an intravenous solution specialist and a subsidiary of Yuhan Corporation, announced on the 23rd that it has received Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) compliance certification for pharmaceuticals from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety for its second plant in Jincheon.

The second plant, located in Jincheon-gun, North Chungcheong Province, includes a dedicated aseptic injectable (intravenous solution) production line equipped with the latest facilities. Based on the expanded production capacity (CAPA) secured through this GMP certification, the company plans to pursue aggressive sales activities to increase its market share both domestically and overseas.

A Waijeumedi representative said, "The GMP certification of the second plant is significant in that it certifies our quality competitiveness at a global level," adding, "We will ensure a stable supply of high-quality pharmaceuticals based on our strengthened production capacity."
