KOSDAQ-listed Ateam is making a full-fledged entry into the artificial intelligence (AI) data center and next-generation high-efficiency server markets. Through strategic investment, the company plans to position itself as a core player in AI infrastructure.
Ateam announced on the 23rd that it has made a strategic investment in Global Topnet, a company specializing in AI servers and data centers, and has established a cooperative framework to target the AI infrastructure market.
This investment goes beyond a simple financial participation and is a strategic move to secure a competitive edge in the rapidly growing AI data center market by combining the two companies' core technologies.
An Ateam official explained, "The core of this partnership lies in the technological synergy between Ateam's high-efficiency power supply modules and Global Topnet's next-generation server platform."
Due to massive computational workloads, AI data centers have long faced structural challenges related to enormous power consumption and heat generation. In response, Ateam has developed solutions that minimize energy loss and enhance server operating stability based on its high-efficiency power conversion technology.
Ateam's high-efficiency power modules are scheduled to be installed in servers equipped with Global Topnet's new-material cooling and fire suppression system based on "Fluorinated Ketone." Through this, the two companies plan to jointly build a next-generation AI server platform that maximizes energy efficiency and effectively controls heat generation, and to supply it to both domestic and overseas markets.
Global Topnet is a technology-based company that has supplied servers to organizations such as the National Security Research Institute and the Korea Aerospace Research Institute (backup servers for Naro rocket data), and it has also been selected for the Ministry of Science and ICT's "High-Efficiency Data Center Joint Cooperation" project.
The two companies plan to expand their business scope not only in the public procurement market but also into edge data centers (Edge DC) and private-sector AI data center markets. Leveraging this market entry, Ateam aims to shift its existing mobile- and home-appliance-centered business structure toward the high value-added AI infrastructure industry and to strengthen its mid- to long-term growth foundation.
Meanwhile, Ateam also plans to actively work on enhancing shareholder value in line with the expansion of its AI data center business.
An official from the company stated, "Our current share price is significantly undervalued compared to the solid fundamentals of our core business and the scalability of our new AI business," adding, "Now that we have secured a tangible revenue model in the AI data center market through cooperation with Global Topnet, we will do our utmost to normalize our corporate value by strengthening communication with the market."
Han Taeksu, CEO of Ateam, emphasized, "This investment will be a turning point for Ateam to emerge as a key partner in the global AI infrastructure supply chain," adding, "By combining Global Topnet's server manufacturing capabilities with Ateam's power conversion technology, we will introduce high-efficiency solutions optimized for the AI era to the market."
