Yunseonsaeng Begins Accepting Applications for the 10th Yunseonsaeng Academic Assessment (YSAT)

Assessment to Be Held March 16-23

Yunseonsaeng announced on the 23rd that it will begin accepting applications for the 10th Yunseonsaeng Academic Assessment (YSAT) on March 3.

The Yunseonsaeng Academic Assessment (YSAT) is an online English proficiency test that measures skills based on test-taker data collected nationwide. It provides a comprehensive diagnosis of three areas: phonics and vocabulary, listening and speaking, and reading and writing. Since its introduction in September 2021, it has been administered regularly twice a year, in the first and second halves. The cumulative number of test-takers to date is approximately 120,000.

This test is conducted in the form of Computer Adaptive Testing, in which the difficulty of subsequent questions is adjusted in real time according to whether the test-taker answers correctly or incorrectly. According to Yunseonsaeng, this format is designed to measure each test-taker's achievement level more precisely. The test questions consist of multiple-choice items and click-type short-answer items.

Registration will be open from March 3 to March 15. Yunseonsaeng members can apply through their assigned teacher or via the official website, and an individual test link will be sent to each applicant. During the test period, from March 16 to March 23, test-takers can log in and take the exam anytime and anywhere using a PC or mobile device. The results will be provided in the form of an online report starting on March 30.

Non-members will also be given the opportunity to take the assessment. Non-members who apply for a learning consultation on the official Yunseonsaeng website by March 15 will receive a free test voucher for the academic assessment.

A Yunseonsaeng representative said, "The Yunseonsaeng Academic Assessment serves as an indicator that allows students to understand their objective standing through nationwide data comparison," adding, "We hope it will be used as basic material for setting learning directions for the new semester."
