The new route will connect Baramkkot Village and Sokcho High School.

Until now, there has been a shortage of direct routes from the Nohak-dong and Gyodong areas to the Jangsa-dong area, causing inconvenience for residents and students. Sokcho-si finalized the establishment of the new route after on-site inspections, suggestions from students, and a process of gathering public opinion.

Village Bus No. 5 will operate once a day on weekdays starting March 2 and will not run on weekends. It will depart from Baramkkot Village at 7:35 a.m. and arrive at Sokcho High School at 8:20 a.m. After turning around, it will depart Sokcho High School at 8:20 a.m. and arrive at Baramkkot Village at 9:10 a.m.

Mayor Lee Byeongseon of Sokcho-si said, "We expect that the new village bus route will improve commuting conditions for residents and provide a safer school commute for students," adding, "We will continue to do our best to optimize routes and improve the quality of public transportation services so that no area is left behind in terms of transportation."

Detailed information on the new route, including operating times and bus stops, can be found through the Sokcho-si bus information system or on the Sokcho-si website.
