Han Donghoon to tour Daegu, Busan, and Yeongnam on a nationwide schedule
Hong: "For you to simply disappear is the condition for rebuilding the conservative camp"
Former Daegu Mayor Hong Junpyo delivered a scathing criticism of former People Power Party leader Han Donghoon, who plans to embark on a nationwide tour starting this week at Seomun Market in Daegu, saying, "Daegu citizens are not fools." Hong has repeatedly argued that former President Yoon Suk Yeol and Han are "mercenary forces" and the main figures who destroyed the conservative camp.
On the 23rd, Hong wrote on his social networking service (SNS), "The person who, while reveling in his heyday as Moon Jaein's hunting dog, destroyed the conservative camp, then entered the conservative party using Yoon Suk Yeol as a host to destroy it once again, is now calling for the reconstruction of conservatism."
He continued, "For you to simply disappear is the first condition for rebuilding the conservative camp. Your habit of thinking about everything in a self-centered way remains unchanged," adding, "Even if the Jang Donghyuk leadership collapses, there will be no place for you to stand."
He also said, "Even if you keep holding talk shows with a handful of followers, it will not last long. You say you are going to Daegu, but do you think Daegu citizens are fools?" He added, "No one will be fooled anymore by an orchestrated show in which blind followers from outside gather and pretend they are being supported by Daegu citizens. You will become a second Yoo Seungmin."
"I will definitely come back"... Han Donghoon to visit Busan and Yeongnam after Daegu
Former party leader Han Donghoon plans to visit Seomun Market in Daegu, known as the "heart of conservatism," this week and then embark on a nationwide tour. This will be his first official move since the People Power Party decided to expel him on January 29.
According to Han's side on the 22nd, Han will travel down to Daegu on the 25th and then visit Seomun Market on the 27th to listen to the sentiments of conservative voters.
With former President Yoon Suk Yeol having been sentenced to life imprisonment in the first trial on charges of leading an insurrection, Han plans to deliver the message, "Let us overcome this together and rebuild the conservative camp."
After Daegu, Han plans to visit Busan and the broader Yeongnam region, and then embark on a "listening to public sentiment road tour" across the country. The nationwide tour comes about four months after his visits to South Gyeongsang Province in September last year and southern Gyeonggi Province in October. On this day, Han also left a comment on his political platform "Han Cut" saying, "We must continue the public sentiment listening road tour!"
Previously, right after the People Power Party decided to expel him on January 29, Han held a press conference at the National Assembly and said, "To all party members and to the people, we are the owners of this party and of the conservative camp," adding, "Please never give up and wait. I will definitely come back." On February 8, he held a talk concert at Jamsil Indoor Gymnasium in Seoul and said, "Those who expect that I will give up and quit on my own should abandon that expectation."
