Paju City has secured 79 million won in provincial funding through the public contest project to improve commuting convenience for workers at the Jeokseong General Industrial Complex. Including this amount, the city plans to operate the commuter bus service for 11 months from the start date of operations, with a total project budget of 113 million won.

The Jeokseong General Industrial Complex in Paju was established in 2020 over an area of 600,000 square meters in Gawol-ri, Jeokseong-myeon, Paju City. It is located on the northeastern outskirts of Paju, where access to public transportation is limited, and workers in the industrial complex have had difficulties commuting. In response, the city has been operating a commuter bus service to ease workers' transportation costs and improve commuting conditions, earning high satisfaction from both employees and companies in the complex.

The free commuter bus operates from Monday to Friday, running from Munsan Station in Paju to the Jeokseong General Industrial Complex in Paju. Any employee working at a tenant company in the complex can use the commuter bus free of charge.

An official from Paju City said, "We will work to maintain the continuity of this project so that we can minimize commuting inconveniences for workers."
