Sacheon City Selected as "Top Excellence" in Comprehensive Information Disclosure Evaluation, Proving Itself a Model of Transparent Administration

High Scores Across All Aspects of Information Disclosure Operations

Sacheon City in South Gyeongsang Province announced on the 23rd that it had been selected as a "Top Excellence" institution in the 2025 Comprehensive Information Disclosure Evaluation organized by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.

The Ministry of the Interior and Safety conducts an annual comprehensive evaluation of overall information disclosure performance by central government agencies, local governments, and public institutions, and makes the results public.

This year's evaluation covered 561 institutions. They were assessed using 12 indicators across 5 categories, and a total of four grades (Top Excellence, Excellence, Average, and Poor) were assigned based on the ranking and scores by institution type.

The Comprehensive Information Disclosure Evaluation consists of the following categories: proactive information disclosure, original document disclosure, processing of information disclosure requests, customer management, and system operation. It is designed to provide an overall understanding of each institution's level of information disclosure.

In particular, the city received high scores in areas such as the number of registered items for proactive information disclosure, the completeness of proactively disclosed information, the completeness of original document information, the appropriateness of request processing, and customer demand analysis. On this basis, it was upgraded from an "Excellence" institution in 2024 to a "Top Excellence" institution in 2025.

Mayor Park Dongsik said, "We will make even greater efforts to guarantee citizens' right to know and enhance the transparency of municipal administration by operating a citizen-centered information disclosure system through systematic analysis of customer demand and proactive information disclosure."
