Jungnang-gu in Seoul (District Mayor Ryu Gyeonggi) announced on the 20th that it has been selected as an excellent institution in the "2025 Civil Service Comprehensive Evaluation" conducted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety and the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission, earning the honor of receiving the award for three consecutive years.

The Civil Service Comprehensive Evaluation is a government-level system that comprehensively evaluates the level of civil services as experienced by the public and the overall operation of those services at 308 institutions nationwide, including central administrative agencies, offices of education, and metropolitan and basic local governments.


Jungnang-gu received consistently high scores across all 21 detailed indicators, which are grouped into 5 items and 3 categories: the foundation for civil administration management, civil administration activities, and civil complaint handling performance. The district has improved access to public services for vulnerable groups by fully waiving fees for unmanned civil document issuance kiosks, operating priority counters for disadvantaged civil petitioners, and strengthening multilingual guidance. It has also reinforced protection measures for civil service staff through full recording of civil service phone calls and joint simulation drills with the police.


In addition, it received high marks for operating direct communication channels with residents, such as "Jungnang Masil" and the "District Mayor’s Direct Text Message Civil Complaint Line." In handling civil complaints filed through the e-People system, the district achieved excellent results in all areas, including promptness, thoroughness, appropriateness, and efforts toward improvement.


Jungnang-gu District Mayor Ryu Gyeonggi said, "This achievement is the result of our efforts to listen closely to residents' voices and continuously improve civil services," adding, "We will continue to create a civil service environment that residents can use conveniently."
