Incheon Yeonsu-gu Launches National Health Screening Reservation Proxy Service Using 114

Agreement with KTis... First in the nation among local governments to utilize 114 infrastructure

Incheon Yeonsu-gu announced on the 19th that it will fully roll out a "National Health Screening Reservation Proxy Service" by partnering with KTis and utilizing the 114 directory assistance service.

This service has been introduced to increase this year's participation rate in the National Health Screening Program and to protect residents' right to health by enabling the early detection of diseases such as cancer and chronic illnesses.

This year, there are approximately 93,500 eligible recipients of the National Health Screening Program in the Yeonsu-gu area. In particular, the district plans to focus on lowering the barriers to screening for digitally marginalized groups, such as older adults who are not familiar with making reservations via smartphone.

When an eligible person calls 032-114 and says "Health screening reservation," a professional counselor will verify their identity and then make the National Health Screening reservation on their behalf by selecting the preferred area, hospital, and date.

To this end, on the 12th the district signed a business agreement with KTis at the Yeonsu-gu Public Health Center and discussed ways to cooperate with each other. Until now, eligible individuals had to call or visit the screening institution directly to make a reservation, but going forward they will be able to receive a one-stop service, from making the reservation to receiving confirmation notifications, with just a single call to 114.

Starting this month, the district will also launch an extensive promotional campaign, including using six senior staff members to provide individual guidance over the phone. In addition, it will regularly manage reservation performance data and, at the end of the year, analyze trends in reservation numbers and screening participation rates to evaluate the effectiveness of the program.

An official from the Yeonsu-gu Public Health Center said, "We hope this service will help residents who have postponed their screenings because of the inconvenience of making reservations," adding, "We will continue to identify and introduce innovative public health services that residents can truly feel in their daily lives."
